What is Family Promise of North Idaho?
-
One week every 3 months a host church provides
lodging, a hot dinner, breakfast and a bag lunch
to a homeless family.
-
The host church shelter provides volunteers to
staff the shelter during their week.
-
Hosting rotates among the 8-13 host churches in
the network, which provides lodging for approved
families from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM, the next
morning.
-
Family
Promise staff and local social service agencies
screen guests and refer families to the Network.
-
Volunteers are the heart of the Network.
Volunteers provide a variety of services such
as cooking, serving meals, transport services,
and staffing during the night.
