Cindy is an Idahoan by birth and has fallen in love with the community here in Kootenai County. She was introduced to beautiful North Idaho while at the University of Idaho getting her Classical Studies Degree. Since that time she has worked in Portland OR, St. Louis MO, Blacksburg VA, and Bozeman MT. There is still no place she would rather be than here because none compare to Kootenai County.

For the past 2 years, Cindy has been the Executive Director of Family Promise of North Idaho. In this position, she sees the unique set of needs and strengths each family brings to the table, whether low or middle income, and the importance of community involvement to attain their goals and meet their needs. The Family Promise faith community, to date, has helped over 80 people, 40 of which are under the age of 6.  Our North Idaho network has had an 80% success rate of moving families into more stable housing, and thus sustainability. Although FPNI has seen an increased need for our services over the last year, our network is still able to move families forward time after time. We are working with early childhood education resources, seeking to increase reliable transportation and keeping current about the housing situation and employment opportunities. FPNI seeks ultimately to develop transitional housing to help more people.
