Ways to Help: 

• have a crafter’s or flea market booth; 
• donate a hand crafted item to the Family Promise Booth; 
• donate slightly used objects to the Family Promise Yard Sale area; 
• donate something you have baked to the FPNI baked goods table; 
• help spread the word; 
• help with set up; take down; 
• or take a shift at the FPNI booth.

Idaho Gives is a special day for philanthropy across Idaho and a special opportunity for supporters of Family Promise. 

Thursday, May 1 is a day for Idahoans to come together with one voice in support of nonprofits, big and small. It is also a day for you to donate to your favorite cause (hopefully that's us) and share in the excitement!

HOW IT WORKS

On May 1, 2014, donate to your favorite nonprofit anytime from 12:00am to 11:59pm MDT. To make it fun, Idaho Gives will offer cash prizes from their sponsors which will be awarded throughout the day! Whether you schedule your donation early or plan to give on the day, go to IdahoGives.org on May 1st to be part of fun.

Tuesday, April 15, at 5:30 p.m. at Paddy’s Sports Bar we will kick off our annual Golf and Walk event.

Come join us for a taco buffet and no-host bar to
register for this Champion Events golf fundraiser. We will have laptops available for online registration for both golfers and walkers.

Friday, May 16, at Coeur d’Alene Public Golf
Course, we will hold the Golf and Walk Event itself.
We are looking for teams of four to play a scramble and fundraise. Not much of a golfer? Then, you can walk the course after the golf event. Either way, you can participate by collecting pledges for your effort.

But beyond a fun evening of food, door prizes and fellowship, you can learn about Family Promise of North Idaho and how you can help raise funds to
help with operational costs.

We are starting the year with the 3 new churches recruited in 2013: Peace Lutheran, Prairie Avenue Christian Center and 1st Baptist Church. Our new host recruiting team is trained and setting appointments for our goal of adding 3 more this year. The impact on our families, the program and the community will be tremendous once our minimum of 13 host congregations is met. Our guests will be cared for by the congregations in the community each day of the year, and we will be able to guarantee that. This kind of stability is so important to their success. Money that is used for a week in a motel on those weeks we don’t have a church can be used toward guest education, tires for their cars and childcare while they are job hunting and so much more!!!! With a full network of churches, staff can work with the guests and on guest issues for success, rather than trying to find a place for families to be for a week. We are getting so close to this level of sustainability for guest shelter. What an amazing community!!!

The Sixth Annual Wild Salmon Feast took place January 25, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church (TLC).  It was sponsored by three Lutheran Churches in the Area: TLC, Lutheran Church of the Master, and St. Mark’s Lutheran.  Roughly, 190 people enjoyed the dinner, featured music, silent and live auctions and a delicious dessert auction.  Raised in the evening’s festivities was a net of just under $8,459. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is providing a $1000.00 match of the proceeds, for a grand total of $9,459.00 in support of FPNI mission to shelter, feed, and provide solutions to families in crisis.
