Cardboard Box City is a public outreach event which also serves as one of our biggest fundraisers. Participants sleep in “homes” made from cardboard boxes to bring awareness to the plight of the homeless families to our community. Participants raise funds by gathering pledges for Family
Promise of North Idaho. The money raised is used to offset the operational costs of delivering services to homeless families.

You can also help by serving on the event committee which needs people to sign up for set-up, clean-up, getting things donated (snacks, soup, bread, breakfast items) entertainment, collecting cardboard boxes, advertising, poster making, sponsor getting, registration, security, and lots of other fun things. We also need youth groups and chaperones to participate!

On Saturday, August 23, 2014, Macy’s will host its 9th annual Shop For A Cause benefiting charities nationwide including Family Promise of North Idaho.

Family Promise of North Idaho has signed up to sell savings passes for $5 each which are valid for in-store purchases at Macy's on August 23.

When you Shop For A Cause on Saturday, August 23, 2014, you'll receive 25% off* on regular, sale and clearance merchandise, including designer brands you love, throughout the store, as well as 10% off electronics, furniture, mattresses and area rugs. And, you will be eligible to win a $500 gift card, no purchase necessary.

You can buy your pass at the FPNI Day Center during normal operating hours. This is a fun way to support our families and save a few bucks.
